Hi Community. Am joining a team where I have been tasked to be responsible for extraction. Have been tasked to resuscitate an Et Extraction system which has been idle for a long period of time. The system is a Chinese one. Does anyone here knows how to get this thing running. I have to get this animal running asap. I am a chemist by profession but haven’t run this process. Your assistance on this will be greatly appreciated.

Hire someone to help you commission the system and teach you what you’re doing so you don’t blow yourself up.

I have an excellent track record for making all kinds of random equipment (but especially Chinese equipment) perform cannabis extraction.
I’m especially skilled at making old gear perform new tricks, but I’m not adverse to simply making it do the thing it was actually intended to do.
Those big fuges look like all sorts of fun…
Where is this gear located?
Resuscitating idle equipment without a manual is always a massive headache. While I don’t have hands-on experience with that specific Chinese unit, I just wanted to say that the work you chemists do in botanical extraction is incredibly important. I work heavily in the medical tourism space, and we see the profound impact of plant-derived compounds every day, specifically things like Ibogaine (extracted from the Iboga root) which is being used to completely interrupt severe addiction cycles. The chemistry required to scale and refine these medicines changes lives. Hope the community can help you get those pumps running smoothly!
Seconded. Man is a squire and gentleman.
Hi Cyclopath. The equipment is in Zimbabwe. Am just waiting for the guyz to give me a written contract before I dig in. Once they have given me a written contract I will contact you so that you can assist me remotely.
If it’s been sitting for a long time, I’d start with a full cleaning and check the seals and pumps first.
