Hey guys I’m new to this site and distillation in general. I have a lab society 12L short path system.
I was wondering if anyone could please comment and help me get a better understanding on how fast or how I should be going up in temperatures/ going through the fractions. From start to finish where do you set your temperatures? What do you look for before moving on? Basically looking for a temperature and fractions guide from start to finish. Any info helps thanks a lot
Please spend a few days (literally a few days), reading the many and I mean many, spd threads on this forum. Pretty much all has been covered and posted publically.

start with a smaller system or less stuff in the flask.
I’d hate to botch 5-6kg of crude oil on a 12L
