I would like to do a Cbd isomerization in revurse so
Cbd D9 > Cbd D8 > THC D8
Want to find a good substitute for the solvent HMPA and parameters in Wich these rxn work

Cbd as we know it is Cbd delta 9
By first isomerizing the cbd to Cbd delta 8
And then to thc delta 8 we might find new methods

Get some base liable alcohol protection groups and do an acid reaction as normal? Use acid reagents that have no appreciable reaction with alkenes

Maybe a phase transfer catalyst? That could help enhance an sn2 reaction without hmpa and use a less scary base.

Some Cbd s are psycho active 
I don’t doubt that… It’s definitely a compound I’d be interested in seeing. I take it you’ve seen it? I don’t know a method for preparing it off the top of my head.
No it s still legend Adams fed it to the rhesus monkeys and reported they behaved as in thc
