Are you trying to chill and crash out the waxes/oils in the filter? Or a separate chilled vessel before the filter, and the jacket is just to keep it cold while filtering?
My idea for the dewax style column is to keep the cold fluid in the top from warming up and having the waxes redissolve back into the fluid. I will typically have the tincture in the freezer around -25 degrees Fahrenheit for two days minimum then dry ice is introduced for 15 to 20 minutes before dumped into the buchner
