COAs for terps?

Hey there everybody. I am trying to get a general census on lab tests for terpenes. What COAs do most terpene providers give? Any insight would be most helpful.

We do full panels and test for everything (cannabinoids, terpene profile, microbial, HM, pesticides, residual solvents).

But we are also producing through CO2 straight from biomass

Sweet thank you. Follow up question for ya. Would you do full panel if you were running trim that already had a full panel?

To me, it’s just good practice to show full transparency. We run biomass, crude, distillate, final product (all with the same batch number). Same with the terp fraction (biomass, terp fraction).

Too many people snagging COAs to pass off their shitty product. Hence, matching batch numbers.

Also, watermark your COAs before sharing. Even hard copies.

Good advice thank you again really appreciate the feedback.

Anytime👊🏼

Terps once extracted are a concentrate so it is possible for things to show up on a full panel that may not have Been as easily detected on the biomass analysis.

This needs to be repeated to everyone 10x
And legible watermarks please. Test with a black and white copy machine too. Great advice.

That’s why we get 50lb samples from farmers and run their stuff to disty. Get full COAs, and if it’s clean, then the farmer credits towards the full purchase of biomass. Now, the farmer gets a copy from the crude and the disty to show it’s clean, but also it’s “performance” capabilities for future buyers.

If it fails, we decide from their (if it’s something simple). It it fails miserably, they pay for our time and testing.

This also further ensures that people are not trying to pass off shitty biomass (brokers particularly).

Super smart. What a great feedback loop and value add for the farmers!
