We test all of our isolate for waxes by doing a 5:1 ethanol:isolate tincture and putting it in the freezer to ensure it comes our clear and not cloudy. Any cloudy batch gets reprocessed.

you’d think so, but its not the case with a lot of isolate on the market.
The thread below has a lot more information and quite a few horror stories regarding 99% isolate with what has been assumed to be a type of wax present.
