Master Rogue, that dry ice test is rather interesting…you used HCl? I recently suggested an acid wash of butane to a friend here in Oregon. But for THCA. Do you use it for THCA?
The acid wash was HCl
The bicarbonate wash was after this as HCl scavenger
The crystelization was not achieved even with dry ice in solution for 24 hours at -78C
Rewashed the batch with HCl and back to neutral with to water
Cooled down to -22C and crystelization has started now will add dry ice again tomorow to push out as much as possible
In my shelf life trails I noticed after 1.5 years an increase of thc in some batches reason I want to scavenge the HCl
Looking into a neutral non poisonous scavenger now to keep the cooh
