Does anyone know of any anti-foaming agents for distilling cannabis? Im trying to decrease the volume of bubbles when decarbing. I understand increasing the volume with a reactor would solve this problem but im looking for another solution.
From my research the bubbles or foaming from distillation comes from surface tension, viscosity, or inter molecular forces.
I would imagine that a de-foaming agent would be a polymer with a high boiling point so it wouldnt cary over in distillation and contaminate it.
Does anyone know more about this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Decarb in oven or feed reactor prior to distilling.
Decarb under vacuum
In a reactor or roto with agitation

I’ve heard cooking oil works.
Also mgo
I’d be more specific with that, some may think vacuum oven under vacuum them be left messy lol

you always have to have agitation if you don’t want a mess

Speaking as in most might put oil in a beaker or mason jar for easier pouring into bf if they’re not using a line to suck it in via vacuum after decarb. It’s just asking for a oven covered in oil from a muffin shooting out the mouth of beaker/jar. That’s what I was referencing. If filled to full, in most cases many want to utilize the entire sqft they can by filling to max ml or L
