Kratom contain the compound Mitragynine, but just like cannabis kratom has other alkaloids, basically minor cannabinoids.
Just like hempo strains have been found with very small amounts of delta 8 in them thru a natural conversion, 7-oh (7 hydroxy mit) was found in small amounts in kratom.
They found a way to convert kratom powder into 7-oh, similar to cbd converting to delta 8. It’s a more potent compound, but also cleaner in effects and has more desirable effects than kratom powder. Much more euphoria, cleaner effects. It acts similar to morphine, but doesnt hit the same receptors and is like a diet morphine. Similar to delta 8 being the “diet” version of delta 9.
However since it is cleaner in effects, more potent, its also shorter acting. It has a much higfher potential for abuse and addiciton as a result. It also forms a tolerance and provides diminished returns if you redose consistently.
Go take a peep at the 7oh subreddits and you see a lot of people who are addicted and spending ridiculous amounts of money to maintain their habits. However, if you use it responsibly, keep your doses low, and take breaks its not as addictive. I take a quarter of a tab once or twice a day and it genuinely feels like i took a diet perk.
